Hello and welcome to my humble abode on the internet. I graduated from Duke University (May 2014) with a degree in biomedical engineering and a self-bestowed title of RTP-ice-cream expert.

This blog started as a method to organize my thoughts during my junior year’s tumultuous quest to “figure out life.” I haven’t figured anything out, except that the best ice cream can be acquired from Maple View Farm. (I’m ashamed to admit my favorite flavor is Carolina crunch…unless you eat this flavor for breakfast…breakfast of champions.) It has now morphed into a documentation of my travels in Switzerland, where I’m spending my first-post-Duke year as a Whitaker research fellow at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Aside from science, I have undertaken a colossal data collection project titled, Analysis of T. cacao Bars Manufactured in Confoederatio Helvetica (coming soon). Also known as, eat as much Swiss chocolate as possible. There will be, of course, posts on ice-cream, bread and cheese, books, my attempts at speaking French, running trails, and a couple of other fun things along the way.
